The the Governor of the Province, Senhor Tamagnini Barbosa, desirous, however, of clearing the subject a fully as possible, to which subject the Government of your Colony as well as this Government attaches such justified interest, referred the case to the Judiciary.

The case being passed to the Judicary finds it- -self outside the action of the Government, which also happens in British Law, but in spite of this the Government of the Province requested the Court for an elucidation of its proceeding
